There was an old woman who lived in a shoe box
along with one sneaker and six pairs of socks.

The sneaker was smelly but served as the bed
for the 12 children the old woman had.

Each child had one sock to use as they chose
A pillow, or blanket? as long as they doze

after playing together all day and at night
Snuggle into bed quickly and turn out the light!
